Duntrune House offers superior bed and breakfast accommodation in a
listed Scottish country house near Dundee in the historic county
of Angus. A comfortable b&b to stay at if you are interested in heritage,
genealogy, architecture or enjoy fishing, golf, hill or coastal scenery.
Conveniently
situated five miles north east of Dundee, City of Discovery, Duntrune
House is only 20 minutes from Glamis Castle and within easy reach
of many National Trust properties. Close by Duntrune are historic settlements
like Tealing, Monikie and Murroes.
If touring Scotland is your dream vacation then Duntrune House is an
ideal base from which to plan your visit.
For those guests coming to Scotland by air, we recommend you use airport transfer to Duntrune. Graham at Kinloch Travel will pick you up from your landing airport and bring you to Duntrune House. It is then easy to hire a car locally and get used to driving in relatively calm conditions. Alternatively you may wish to have Graham take you on various day trips to the areas and attractions you wish to explore. All arrangements for these services can be made directly with Graham. Road and rail links to all areas of Scotland are favourable allowing
you to make day excursions to castles, whisky trails, antique
trails, glens of Angus, Forfar, Kirriemuir, (birth place of Sir J
M Barrie,
author of Peter Pan) and Perth, the gateway to the Highlands. Just
a few miles
along the coast are Arbroath, home of the famous “smokie”,
cliffs, bird watching and the Abbey.
Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Stirling and Glasgow can be reached by train
or use park and ride allowing you the whole day in the city without
the
hassle of trying to find parking.
